Honoring Our Cultivator Partners: A California Cannabis Awards Season Preview

The best live rosin starts long before the wash, cold cure, and first press. It begins in the soils of specific terroirs, with cultivators who grow with care, character, and a deep connection to the land. At My Green Network, we know this all too well, with years of experience washing and processing fresh frozen flower using superior solventless methods.

From rich purple hues to material that sings a sweet symphony of scents thanks to the preservation of peak terpenes…it takes quality flower and quality processing for quality (award-winning) live rosin results. To honor this craft and prepare for the upcoming award season, we launched a 4/20 to 7/10 campaign to showcase our partner’s seed-to-stage success.

In collaboration with our sourcing partners at Ay Papi, we’re honored to celebrate California’s sun-grown legacy, regenerative methods, and the stories behind the flower we’re so proud to process day in and day out.

For 4/20, we highlighted four of our farm partners to help consumers, connoisseurs, and companions alike get to know the land behind the best live rosin in California. So, keep reading to learn more about California’s own heritage growers, shaping the future of solventless at My Green Network.

Huckleberry Hill Farms

Of course, our campaign kicked off with some of our OG partners, Johnny and Rose from Huckleberry Hill Farms.  As one of the oldest licensed farms in Humboldt, Huckleberry Hill is legendary for its sun-grown craft cannabis, rooted deep in the southern Humboldt terroir.

The now-iconic Whitethorn Rose was our introduction to their clean, terp-rich flower—but it’s just the beginning. This season’s phenos, including Paradise Rose, Country Rose, and Ridgeline Rose, are already slotted for major award entries at the California Cannabis Awards at the State Fair, and Leafbowl.

This farm is more than a partnership—it’s family. And their flower continues to prove why legacy matters.

Whitethorn Valley Farm

Tucked away in the headwaters of the Mattole River on California’s Lost Coast, Whitethorn Valley Farm is a model of regenerative cannabis cultivation. Galen and Ruby bring intention to every inch of this legacy land, where chickens roam freely, tulips bloom beside terp-heavy cannabis, and the soil tells a decades-long conservation story.

With roots that go back to the 1960s, their approach to farming is slow, sustainable, and deeply personal, honoring both the land and the lineage that shaped it. And when it comes to solventless, you can taste that care in every rip.

Mattole Valley Sungrown

Tucked deep in the Mattole River Valley, Dylan’s farm is as alive as the soil it rests on—an energy you can feel the second you set foot on the land. Known for bold, gassy expressions like Purple Papaya, Mattole Valley Sungrown produces flower that hits hard in the wash and lingers long in the flavor of live rosin, California-bred and produced.

Cultivars from this farm, sourced by Ay Papi, are already being submitted in multiple formats full melt, live rosin, edibles (and maybe even vapes) to the California Cannabis Awards and Leafbowl. This is terroir-rich, podium-ready cannabis, grown with heart.

Canyon Creek Family Farms

High in the mountains of Trinity County lies Canyon Creek, a farm nourished by the confluence of two rivers and powered by pure sunlight. With no tanks, wells, or shortcuts, their approach to regenerative cultivation lets nature lead.

The rocky soil and dry climate may be untraditional, but they create bold, vibrant phenos like Sour Z, a standout cultivar soon to debut at the California Cannabis Awards at the State Fair alongside Mattole’s AJ’s Sour D in a dual farm feature.

Catch a Cloud Farms

Perched 3,000 feet above sea level in Southern Humboldt, Catch a Cloud is more than a farm. It’s a living expression of elevation, mist, and passion-led cultivation. Run by Aria and Carter, this farm is deeply rooted in the land, both figuratively and literally.

With a greenhouse dedicated entirely to phenohunting, they’ve created something rare: a discovery-focused operation with a relentless drive to push flavor boundaries. This year’s standout? Moroccan Peaches, a cultivar already bound for the California Cannabis Awards, hosted at the State Fair.

Our Sourcing Partners: Ay Papi

None of these farm features and few of the flower-forward products we produce would be possible without Ay Papi. As our sourcing partners, they connect us to the growers, the cultivars, and the regenerative stories that define California’s sungrown movement.

Their hands-on, high-integrity approach to curation brings only the most intentional flower to our lab, and we’re honored to turn it into live rosin and edibles that stay true to the source. If you’re looking to experience these farms’ flower in its truest form, seek out Ay Papi on dispensary shelves.

Their small-batch, solventless collection showcases the best of what these growers have to offer, pressed to perfection.

Looking Ahead: From 4/20 to 7/10

While we’ve shared the farms behind the flower, the real moment comes this 7/10, when we reveal each collaboration’s solventless live rosin results from the lab to the rig.

With submissions now live for the California Cannabis Awards and Leafbowl, you’ll soon see these names again, this time under the spotlight they deserve.
